Blood donation championship

The Cyprus Red Cross Society organises the nationwide blood donation campaign “Blood Championship”, a high-impact initiative that combines the power of sport with the value of humanitarian contribution.

The campaign is organised by the Cyprus Red Cross Society, in close cooperation with the Blood Centre of the Ministry of Health, the Cyprus Football Association, and the Pancyprian Footballers Association, forming a strong alliance of stakeholders united by a common goal: saving lives.

The campaign is held under the auspices of the Minister of Health, Mr Neophytos Charalambides.

The “Blood Championship” aims to substantially strengthen national blood reserves, while raising public awareness about the vital importance of regular blood donation. Through an innovative and symbolic approach—where every drop of blood becomes a “pass of hope”—supporters are encouraged to stand by their favourite football team by offering the most valuable gift of all: life.
